Over the past year I have been writing a fundraising cookbook for an organization called Flying Kites. Flying Kites provides high quality residential care to some of Kenya’s most desperate orphaned and abused children. The cookbook will include updated versions of traditional Kenyan and African dishes; information about Kenya, the village of Njabini, and Flying Kites; and stories about the 27 children who call Flying Kites their home.

About this Blog
This blog will chronicle my journey back to Africa on January 11, 2013 as I visit the children’s home and finalize the recipes for the cookbook. And upon my return from Kenya, I will continue to chronicle the progress of the cookbook.
